Is God Hiding From You?

Is God hiding from you?  He may well be if you are just a religious person.  Jesus rejoiced that God the Father was not revealing himself and the treasures of the kingdom of God to the religious elite of his day.  In fact Jesus invited ordinary people, weary people, burdened down with the stuff of life, to come to him and find rest.  He promised to yoke himself to their burden and help them bear it… at the same time they would learn about him!

Two Irreducible Minimums!

When it comes down to it there are really only two things God requires of his people.  First, that we commit ourselves to spiritual growth, or to maturity in Christ.  A real Christian cannot be content to stay as they are month after month without spiritual progress.  Secondly, God expects his people to be practical!  To do something about their faith by performing service.  Laziness is something God cannot tolerate, and the inactive, disengaged Christian is something that is alien to the kingdom of God.
